I have received several responses to my post about selling my orange
coupe (images/Alan's 600). But not nearly as much as I was
expecting. This is a nice car, and I thought this was the obvious
place to sell. If I have to I'll put it on ebay soon.
If anyone is looking for a coupe or has a suggestion as to the best
way to sell it, I'm all ears
Thanks
Alan

The original post was as follows:
A yellow coupe was my very first car, and I've been looking for
years to find another one! (20+ years that is)
Alas, I have an opportunity to get another car that I've been
longing after, and my wife says that one of my cars has to go. so
I'm reluctantly putting my car up for sale. I've only owned it about
a year. I was told that it was sitting in the Spokane honda
dealership for the previous 20+ years. It's not perfect by any
means, but it is certainly in good shape, and people constantly ask
if it's new. The paint is great with the exception of a small "star"
on the hood that was there when I got it.
Pictures are in the Photos section - Alan's 600
80,000 miles
asking $4500
Car is in Issaquah, WA (Seattle)
All gauges, lights, radio work.
What I've done:
New tires
New carpet kit
replaced rear shocks with VW ones
resealed entire top of engine
replaced points and condenser
It runs and drives great. Starts right up, and once it warms up runs
very smooth.
I'm still messing a bit with the carb. It doesn't seem to get quite
enough fuel under full throttle, but the plugs are the correct
color... Just one of the joys of ownership :)
Things that are not done:
Some seat seams have come undone. I was planning on replacing
All glass is great, but the windows do not roll up in the channels
without help. The little guide pieces are missing or broken.
The torsion bar for the rear hatch seemed weak, so I undid it, and
now I can't seem to get it back on :(. any help is appreciated!
If you lurch the car (which I don't), there is "looseness" in the
driveline- engine mounts? I'm pretty easy on the clutch so I havn't
worried about it, but trying to be honest.
If you are interested, let me know. Given how long I waited for this
one, I'd much prefer to sell to someone who cares about these cars.
Feel free to ask questions!
Thanks!
Alan

I think that ebay is a good call. Trying to sell a coupe here is essentially trying to sell us something we already have. Try selling it to people who don't own one already.
