I have never drive it
I am considering using it as a daily driver
am I nuts
is it a bad Idea
does any one support this idea

From April to November my 600N is the car of choice for city scooting

Use it as a daily driver if you can and you have the desire.
On the positive side:
fun to drive
good gas mileage
easy to find a parking spot
you will have lots of people asking you questions and smiling
kids love the car
On the negative side
costs more to operate than a newer fuel-injected car
you will be spending more of your time doing car maintenance
on the freeway, you will be probably be the slowest car (especially where
speeds are 65+ mph)
at freeway speeds the car is noisy (since it is running at high rpm)
enjoy the drive,

Hi Dan,
I drive mine to work nearly everyday.
It still needs a correct muffler and to have the flexible exhaust pipe replaced with correct size rigid pipe. But, even with it's little problems it always starts, runs, and goes!
I'm slowly improving it as time goes by.
I'm planning to install a reconditioned gas tank and to replace all of the fuel lines. It's either leaking fuel as I drive or it's going through gas like crazy!

havent got my latest N600 together yet, but Id always
expected more when I was driving my N about 10 years
ago, before it was stolen by someone Id thought was a
friend :( . I always got around 25 mpg with both the
original engine & a Z motor & carb I had put in after
I kinda blew the 1st engine. Anywho, Is this normal?

Hmm, what is normal? I don't think I'm qualified to answer that question yet. I haven't owned my 600 long enough to have a professional opinion. ;o)
I am getting less than 20mpg. I've heard that the 600's can get 40mpg.
Can anyone substantiate that or give some real meaningful numbers on expected mpg?
I'm having some sputtering issues, loss of power, and occassionally the car dies while idling at a stoplight or in traffic. It starts back up no problem, but I'd like to get to the bottom of it. I suspect that the carb needs some attention. A couple of the learned folks on the group have been giving me some excellent advice on how to check out the various parts of the engine.
There's also the possibility that gas is leaking out while I'm driving the vehicle. I've already had to rebuild the fuel pump using parts from two older units. Works great now. I was hoping that was the problem, but no. It still gets very poor mileage. Apparently, just having the float in the carb properly adjusted can make a big difference in mileage and performance.

My 600 Sedan has allways been 40 - 45 mpg. I used it as a daily driver for 15+ years, now it rests in the garage most of the time.

get only 35mpg. It's now my weekend driver.
