Miles,
How much more performance are you getting with your hot rodded engine?
How about telling me how many seconds it takes you to go from 0 to 60 mph on
a level surface. Let me know what temperature and altitude you are at when
you do the test (or just tell me the city, time, and date when you do the
test.... I can figure out the rest).
thanks,
Dale
I don't know how much power I had before/after doing this work, but
after installing the carb, I accidentally found myself at 70mph in a
40 zone while tuning the A/F ratio. I had never had speed sneak up on
me in the honda before.

Dale-
I just did a two 0-60 runs (out and back on the same stretch of road,
60 deg F, 20 feet above sea level) and found an average of 12 seconds
0 to 60, assuming my speedometer is accurate (I'm running the yokohama
A-008's, what's their dia vs the stock tires dia?).

Hi Miles,
Thanks for the information. Wow ! 0 to 60 in 12 seconds is pretty
impressive considering the stock version of the Honda 600 was rated at 22 seconds.
That is quite an improvement..... more than I was expecting.

The 1970 Road Test article I have shows a 19.02 second quarter mile at
66.84 mph with a fresh/stock 38 hp motor.

Does anybody have a stock 600 that they'd be willing to time a few
0-60 runs in?

I have done that many a time..... it was always in the 21 to 23 second
range. And these numbers have applied to multiple cars (about 12)
