Re: OIL LEAK
Hi,
yes, there are supposed to be two o-rings under the cylinders on the
older models. (It's in a service release.) When they are not there
the oil fills up part of the cylinders and flows out about half way
up - it's an odd leak . . .
Did you rebuild it lately? If you have access to parts, it's better
IMHO to replace with a newer model set of cylinders. If not - I have
a bag of the O-rings. E-mail me off-list, and if you send me a SASE
I'll send you a set for free.

Re: OIL LEAK
Yes, on the studs with the cap nuts. But look at the bottom of the cylinder barrel and it should be
indented at this position to accept the o-ring.
The parts book indicates the o-ring was only necessary on blocks through 1017172 (these are the last digits which are stamped on the crankcase).
Your number appears to be a later model which did not need the o-rings. If this is not the original engine, someone may have put an older cylinder barrel on a later model crankcase since the parts were interchangeable.
good luck,
Dale

Re: OIL LEAK
You may want to check all the mating surfaces for flatness using a straightedge. Your problems
may be more than a missing set of o-rings.

Re: OIL LEAK
There is a complete gasket set on Ebay here in the States, not sure of the quality of it but it looks to be what you need, if the seller will ship it to you overseas.
