Seatbelts

Wondering if anyone has any original seat belts for an N600. I would really like both front and rear seat belts, but currently i don't have any rear belts so i am really looking for those!! If anyone could help me out or guide me to where i might find some, that would be great!

Well the belts for my front seats right now are from some sort of 63 Ford, so I really dont know what they are like.  Retractable would be best I think, cleans up the look of the car!
Dean, send me an email and let me know how much you want for them.  Im obviously going to need both the belt and the buckle for fronts and rears.

I have a couple complete sets of seatbelts available, including the sholder strap for front seats.
And yes, I agree that retractable would "clean it up"..... but I'm not sure there was such an animal in the Sedans !?

The front seatbelts on my 71 Coupe are retractable, but I found that since the belts are bolted at the top so high, when wearing them they sit practically on my ear.  I am 5'11", it's worse the shorter you are.  I got one of those brackets that are usually supplied with carseats, and clipped it onto the belt about 6" below the bolt, so that it sits on my shoulder where it ought to.  This makes them non-retractable, but now they fit.

I have never seen retractable seatbelts on a Honda 600.  Was this an option?   I wish I had purchased the retractable belts because I hate the OEM belts.  Especially the shoulder strap which gets in my way.
The shoulder belt can be detached from the lap belt but I believe it is illegal to drive in most states with the shoulder belt detached (hanging right behind you) and only use the lap belts.

I grew too large for the sedan seat belts (but not for the car!) that
I buckle them behind the seat to keep the buzzer from sounding. So
far, no one has questioned it.
But, since the heart attack, I'm down 20 pounds. Another three months
and those belts just might fit!
Oh, and they are not retractable, neither in the 71 or the 72.

The late 72 model are retractable.  If your vin begins with AN600C it came from the factory with retractors.  In both the sedan and coupe, the buzzer/retractor models have a dash indicator "Fasten seatbelts" IIRC between the big guages.
As for the earlier cars with shoulder belts not staying in the buckle, you've got a lifetime warranty from Honda.  I had them replaced with poorly fitting belts (cost was over $400, Honda paid for it).  Lately Honda's been weaseling out of it.  Search past posts, it's been covered in detail before.

Hello everyone. Doc here. As far as the seatbelt thing goes, I have 2 -'72 sedans. One of them has retractable belts and the other does not. The one "with" (my red parts car) has serial #105BLAH and a red light on the dash to tell you to buckle up. It also has shoulder belts. The one "without" (my blue soon to be driver ) has serial #104BLAH., no shoulder belts and no red light on dash. I don't know if it's an option thing or maybe a serial # thing. I'm swapping the dash pad from red one to blue one and thought about putting retractable belts from red one to blue one, but blue one does not have proper mounting holes in the floor below the doors. It does have proper holes in the back for the shoulder belts, which I am going to swap. I'm not sure right now, but I may have some parts for sale in a few months. I will update later.
