fuse?
fuse?
hi i have been working on my wiring harnace and have a question there is a wire that goes to the key switch that each end of the wire is female. on my car there is a home made jumper that connects them together. was this jumper once a fuseable link or in line fuse? my wire diagram is not clear on the switch as the wire code does not match the switch wire colors. thanks for any help. dean

Re: fuse?
There's no fusible link there. The only fusible link is under the hood, a 45 amp in the main fuse block.
The ign switch colors never match up. I am in Santa Cruz working almost everyday, just call me I can come by.

Re: fuse?
Hi Dean,
If you have an original Honda ignition switch, here are some notes I made years ago to show how it matches up to the wiring harness;
switch wire color ...............wiring harness color ............ ignition switch position
red white .............................battery (+12 volts)
red/black stripe black/white stripe ............ starter solenoid
black black/yellow stripe .......... ignition
yellow white/red stripe ................. accessories
grey no connection, not used on AZ600
Verify the heavy gauge red wire does have +12 volts on it since you don't want to hook this wire at the wrong switch position.
good luck,
Dale

Deans
That makes 2 Deans in Santa Cruz, the other Dean has a yellow coupe that he cherried out even though it was a mint 10,000 mile car with no flaws. He repainted it and chromed everything under the hood.
