Some people expressed interest in doing the electric fan conversion. Here's what I used back in the early 1980's and it lasted me from one car to another and is still working on Dinky.
You can buy these fans really cheaply on eBay, elec motor and the bracketry it comes in is almost the correct size. I think I had to shave down the blade by 1/8" or so. Quiet operation, easy hook up.
