I finally got around to measuring my carb orings. As is listed in Honda parts book 42mm x 2.4mm. 42 is the inside measurement, 2.4 is the diameter measured with my Mitutoyo precision digital caliper. Outside is aprox 47mm.

Hi Miles, like you said the stock O-ring is 2.4mm wide with a 42mm ID & 47mm OD.
The manifold O-ring groove is 2.1mm deep with a 43mm ID and a 49mm OD.
The O-ring in my Viton kit is 2.5mm wide with a 44mm ID & 49mm OD.
Both size O-rings will fit in the groove tight and have a good (.012" to .017")compression seal.
