1971 Honda 600 Coupe For Sale

Post by feltonminicycle »

I bought the car the Dean T. was selling up in Vacaville. He had advertised it as restored, but it was definately not restored. He did do a lot of repairs to it and painted it himself but there is plenty more to do to it.
I spent 12 hours tracking down a vacuum leak replacing everything I could think of along the way, it just wasn't running well. I found the problem was in the brake booster. 2 weekends ago I rebuilt the rear brakes in preparation of the upcoming Concours d'Lemons near Monterey. No time now to start the project, but I will finish fixing the brakes before it leaves my place. Here's the ad, and please contact me *off group* for more information.
1971 AZ600
It has 4 new Kumho tires
It has a set of Bill Colford's seat covers installed
New windshield gasket by Bill Colford
New sway bar bushings
New coil wires
New ignition tune up with OEM points, condencer and blue wire
New fan belt
New OEM intake o-ring
I Cleaned out the carb and noticed it has a new accelerator pump
by Bruce Whiting. I added o-rings to the throttle shaft
I bored out 2 5/8" wheel cylinders to 11/16" and installed
new pistons & seals, set of 4 rear brake
shoes - the same ones I sell.
I will fix the brake booster and check out the rest of the brakes before it leaves my house. This car drives pretty nice, the driveshafts are tight - no CV noise. Clean California title in previous owner's name.
It is all one color but every panel needs work, the photos make it look nice, but when you see it in person, you will know what I mean. It's a '71 with the 5 piece rear bumper.
Photos are here:
More photos upon request. This is a great car to build up.
$2500.00
