Part of my mission to save a very uncommon A600 crankshaft entails making two lubrication holes in two inner roller rings being used as sleeves to make good worn big end journals. Would diamond burrs do the job? 3mm dia. through 2.5mm of this very hard carbon steel. Thoughts ?
Many thanks, Marshall.

Hi Marshall, just find a local machine shop/mold shop with a sinker type EDM.
It would be the quickest & best way.
Maybe $75 to do it.

Lyle, You have just made me aware of how precise spark erosion can be. I was only familiar in the past with crude units capable only of eroding busted taps from workpieces. What an eyeopener. I have been out of touch too long. Cheers.
