Z flywheel questions

I picked up a Z that the owner has the starter out and said the solenoid was bad...looking at it tho, it looks like the ring gear is chewed up.
Questions are, can i remove the flywheel and turn the ring gear over like we used to do on older flywheels or is it a one piece set up and have to replace the flywheel? Can the flywheel be removed with engine in the car?

Hi Glen,
If you are able to remove the ring gear (sometimes they get rusted in place), you can flip it over. The work can be done in the car. Easy to do if you have a rotor removal tool.

Does anyone happen to have a picture of the tool needed? I'm pretty handy at making such things, a pic would be nice tho...
