Parts/Tips for fixing up my Honda 600

Hello all!
My name is Brian and I have a '72 Honda 600 sitting in my garage just gathering dust. Everyday I see this amazing car and I say to myself that I really should get her up and running again. Well this post marks the beginning of my attempt to fix this car. I hope everyone can welcome me into the group and help me get this beauty out on the road once more.
The top end of the engine has been removed and is still currently in pieces. The bottom end is still currently in the car, but I think it will be removed to be cleaned and refurbished if possible. I have most parts for this car, I believe, but I am missing a few. For now I am in need of a gasket/seal for the crankcase and an oil filter. I realize there are people who know methods for getting around the problem of missing parts and I would appreciate any information on these people and/or on these methods.
Any information that can aid me in making this project go smoothly would be great. Thanks!

There is no gasket for the center case of the engine halves. You can use Honda Bond, YamaBond or 3 Bond or I like to use Silicone Ultra Black.
You can still buy oil filters from Honda and if more people buy them Honda may keep producing them. I bought so many at my local dealership that Honda Motors required them to have them in stock for other buyers.

Brian...    WELCOME! LOL.  this is a great place to be to work on your honda.  is your car a sedan or coupe and what needs to be done.  also if we know where you live (city) there might be someone close to you to help.
