NOS N600 front emblem

Post by eric.geiger »

i came across a NOS honda N600 emblem on yahoo japan auctions. its like 20,000 yen ($250.00) which is ridiculous but it might be that one piece someone is looking for. if you are interested in it let me know and i can help you out with purchasing it via some friends in japan.
I'm currently buying up JDM bits to make a Z360 GT look alike.

So far I've picked up the following bits.
Front bumper
Left and right fenders with side markers and fender mirrors
Front upper grille
Core support with different cutouts for the Front turn signals that go under the bumper.
Side GT-Z emblems and side Z-hardtop emblems (can't decide which I want to use yet)
Rear GT emblem
L&R Front turn signals
I have pictures of everything posted in an album in one of the groups can't remember if It was this one or the ANZ group.  Ill look and post again if needed.
Still need the bottom grille
I have 2 donor cars now for everything needed but I am still looking for a donor shell as both my donors are rusted out.  The plan is to do the car up in championship white (same color as the integra type R and civic type R).  Also will probably just do black powder coated wheels.   Just want to make a very clean looking white car with black accents.  Also some tinted windows.
This project is still years from getting started but I'm constantly looking for parts and the donor body.

Eric,
Not to spoil your fun but the fenders and front end parts won't fit your z600/JDM Z360 look-a-like. The parts you bought are for the water cooled Z and are not the same size. The water cooled version was several inches longer in the front end. Also the air cooled z360 was never offered as a HardTop. This was also a water cooled version. All the Z360 versions that were a/c had the round rear emblem like what we have. There was a GS model that had just the letters and not on the round emblem.

i didn't know the fenders wouldn't fit but that doesn't bother me, they came free when i bought the side markers and the mirrors.
thanks for the info.
I knew it wasn't going to be as easy as just swapping stuff over but I'm more than willing to do some fabricating to make a nice looking look-a-like whether it be hardtop or GT.  just looking to do something clean looking and have some fun.

The mirrors, bumper and lights are about all you need to change. You could modify the front grill by making one grill out of 2 or 3 others. Just need to cut out the old hole and replace it with metal from center of extra grills. Once welded and sanded and some paint nobody will know. The bumpers are alittle different as they fit closer to the body of the car than the american versions did.
