Hey everyone, Im rebuilding a spare ignition coil i have but i don't have my original coil close by to measure the length of the 2 spark plug wires that come off of it and go to the engine. does anyone have one they can measure for me?
my car is in storage so i can't go look and measure myself.
id also love to know which wire is for which cylinder, again my car is not close so i just can't look and the coil I'm rebuilding has had the wires chopped so i can't tell by looking at the one i have in front of me.
a perfect example would be like this:
closest wire to mounting bolt is passenger side and 22" long and the furthest wire from mounting bolt is 28" and is the drivers side wire.
This is how i still get to work on my car when i travel for work. I rebuild parts while away them get to install them when i get back home.
Ignition coil wire length
Re: Ignition coil wire length
The short wire 10" long and is nearest the mount point(front of car)The other wire is 27" long. So your 22 should be a 10" and your 28 should be a 27". I measured from the end of the coil(where the wire exits the coil) to the absolute end of the spark plug cap. So you need to add the amount down in the coil.
