I updated my shift linkage with urethane. The old rubber was completely gone from the link.

Hi Dave;
Looks good how does it work. I went the low tech way by cutting a 3/4 in length of 1/4 in of fuel hose and placed one on each bar. Then wrapped some electrical tape around each hose to keep it in place and see if it worked. Slop was gone, and it shifted nice and tight. When it starts getting loose I’ll make a permanent fix, that was several years ago and it hasn't loosened up so it's still on there.
