looking for Z600 parts? I've got the car

I have a 1972 Z600 that I intended on restoring but I have run out of funds to fix the problems with the motor and the suspension. The rest of the car is in fairly good shape and I have worked on some of the other pieces of the car. I am looking for someone interested in the parts. The car is in Northern California.

I am in northern Calif. (Walnut Creek) The engine is in pieces at a shop, has been for quite a while. A "friend" of mine said that he could fix it, the engine had seized up and has pits in one of the cylinders. If you wanted the engine, it would come to you in a box. The car should be used for parts. I am trying to be as straight forward as I can. The asshole who sold it to me really rat reamed me. I don't want to do it to the next guy. But with that being said, there are several pieces that are in pretty good shape.

It's easy to get the cylinders rebored to a larger size and Hastings has various size rings. Even if you used all Civic rings and had the oil ring lands widened to accept the 3mm oil rings (N600 is 2.8mm) you could do that. Or find another set of jugs to fit your pistons though most STD jugs are beyond spec. The expensive part about the engines is when the crankshaft assy is bad but finding a used crank is also possible.

Thanks Miles. Unfortunately, the chain tensor is also shot. Struts are worn out. It has become a lot bigger job than I can afford. But thanks for the info. I will most likely send it on with the next person who tackles the car.

Hey Miles, I made some calls about boring the cylinders, I was told that they could be honed and the same pistons could go back in, but that if I bored them to "twenty thousandths" that the same pistons could not go back in because they would be sloppy. When you gave me this advice did you mean I needed to get new pistons as well as the rings? (are those the jugs you were referring to?) The way you were talking about grinding the piston to get the 3mm Civic rings on, it didn't seem like it, but I am not all that knowledgeable in that area. You made it sound fairly simple but I think I need more of an explanation. Thanks,
