N600 Air Cleaner

There is a little valve on the inlet of my air cleaner that will
close off the fresh air supply. Why and when should I use it?

As I recall that valve is an aid to heating up the
engine. By closing it warm air would be circulated back
through the air cleaner. I beleive there was a spring
attached to the lever arm but I forget where it was
anchored. D.V.

You only use it in te winter wen it gets real cold.
