Mr.GTO Did you have to use a resistor with your HOG-COIL? Do you
Know the part# of the coil you used? I always wanted to try a coil
like that,but was concerned with finding the right one.(the primary
resistance should be close to stock.) Also you might want to check
your points more often because they will pit faster with the
increased current demand of the HOG-COIL!!!!

I didn't have to use a resistor with this coil. I use an Accel Super Coil for
an 1965-69 FL and FX 1200cc Twins; 1967-1977 XLH900 1000cc Twins; and
1967-1973 Servicar Twins.
It replaces OEM #74510-64 and is intended to be used in conjunction with any
12 volt Harley Davidson model #64 12 volt generator
