Hi Bill
Enjoyed your comment about the fellow at Hemmings saying the Honda Coupe
being a future collectible. About 15+ years ago on one of those lists,
(Krause Auctions I believe) I followed thru and bought a nice original 1973
Volvo P1800 ES that they said would be hot in the future. That's the sporty
wagon that they only made for two years. I get lots of positive comment on
it, but Krause was wrong on it appreciating in value. I would be hard
pressed to sell it today for what I paid for it 13 years ago. Appreciation
and Depreciation have equaled out and if you count maintenance, insurance,
storage, and inflation its a bummer. It a good thing I like the looks of it
otherwise I would be disgusted with it. Parts are pretty easy to get in
comparison to the 600s and it goes down the road real easy only the parking
spots have to be bigger. (;-)

of its top five future collectibles. In an article by Richard A lentinello
of Hennings magazine, he states the 1971-72 Honda 600 Coupe Price range:
$2,500 - $7,000.

Hi Wally
Sorry to here about your Volvo. I was lucky enough to own a N600 Sedan in
High School and was the only one to have one, this was in the mid 70s and
even then you didn't see many 600s Sedan or Coupes. As with your Volvo the
600s will always be a collectors item to me and that's all that counts, I
wouldn't sell mine for any amount it has gave me more enjoyment than any
other car I have owned.
A car is only worth as much as someone will pay! and to me anything over
$1600.00 about the cost of a new one in 72 makes it a collectors item.

How right you are;
Value is what you place on it, and the Sedan is just as collectable
as the Coupe. And, from my view, the Sedan has a greater following than the
Coupe.
Having a major magazine identify your vehicle as a future anything
helps if something tragic does happen to your car. Point to it when you
speak to your insurance company and don't let them beat it down.
