Take a look at www.nada.com or click here to
see the value of your Honda 600.
It is listed as a collectible vehicle. It also lists the msrp when it shows
the current value of the vehicle. In spite of the high value being listed,
it seems most of the ones in existence are only worth about $600 or less.
Bill Colford's vehicle, though, looks like it is worth something. At least
the picture I saw looked good. Did he use a photo editor to enhance it?
Many times the insurance goes down for a collectible because it is not driven
very often and people who own collectible cars worth something will usually
take good care of them. Check with your DMV to find out the restrictions to
having a plate declaring the vehicle as a collectible. In Oregon, if you
opt for the Special Interest plate rather than a regular plate, the fee is
less buy you are only allowed to drive on a limited basis (e.g. parades, car
meets, special occasions) and are not supposed to use the vehicle as a daily
driver.

Well Dale;
The truth tells in the show, where judges who have no reason or cause to
place your vehicle ahead of another unless it is better in all respects.
The orange Jan 1972 Coupe is such a vehicle and has proven its worth and
value not only in a Concourse event but with an appraisal on top of it.
Remember you get what you inspect not what you expect. Making a statement
like "Did he use a photo editor to enhance it?" without fact or cause makes
me wonder what your doing to your pictures. For the record, I have not
touched up or enhanced any of the pictures of that vehicle.
Owners of valued vehicles always have them appraised and insured to
cover unexpected loss. Here to, an appraisal must be given by an appraiser
who is recognized by the insurance company. They must be backed up by
pictures, receipts of work accomplished if the appraisal is based on a
restoration. And judged events by an established Club or a National event
is proof of value on that date. The difference between a professional and
an amateur restoration is the cause for many discussions at judged events.
And I for one look upon the vehicle and if the owner spent his time instead
of his money his vehicle will be as he has made it. The same is for the
owner who spends big bucks to have his vehicle in like new condition. Both
have made the effort to have their vehicle to the standard they want it to
be. The best vehicle will stand out both in technical and shine. The
test of a graded event is the best way of affirming value, but only after a
sale will the true worth be evident.

i used caps to place an emphasis on your superb crafted reply to this dale person who has no tact or insight into what REAL CARS are all about -- both you and i know how our cars will stand up to ANY measuring -- the San Diego Automotive Museum in the internationally famous Balboa Park public display show area is NOT some hick town thrown together showplace of body putty and spray paint --- by the way, my advise to this dale person is: IF you don't know what you are talking about, then just don't write things that really show brain size.

your car is very nice looking .......I think it is picture-perfect. I
inserted the comment about your car to see how closely you read all these
messages (since you seem to be the moderator). I sure got your attention.

Hi Dale;
A rule of thumb for any e-mail you send; Never say or print anything you
don't intend to say or want others to read. Anything can and has been done
with e-mail. PKI signature or encryption are the only two ways of ensuring
your text is as you sent it.
The rules of the Group are Yahoo's not mine, the intent of the site is to
enhance the knowledge of Honda 600 owners in both repair and collectable
ownership. Through a collective on line discussion in the hope of
furthering everyone's ability to keep their Honda 600 running and safe.
I truly doubt your intent was to see if I read my e-mail, my suggestion
is for you to read your e-mail before pressing the send button. Often
readers become emotional about a topic or subject and this works it's way
into the e-mail they send. Reading an e-mail before sending it can keep
emotional tones to a minimum.
My personal expectation for the group is to assist, allow other to voice
their opinion and keep arguments to specifics and not personal. The efforts
you put into your Honda 600 are a tribute to you, they show your ability and
awareness of a met standard. A standard you are comfortable with both
personally and to a degree of safety for yourself and others you share the
road with.

Dale,
I think if you own a 600 of any model you should sell it to someone who will
appreciate it. We are a 600 club of people who love there 600s and most
wouldn't sell them for any price, and I am one of them, and by the way
((600)) doesn't stand for the value, is that where you got screwed up???

I just put together a package of front sway bar bushings for the Sedan, Chassis numbers ANXXX-XXX-XXXX to end of production. See attached, Cost is $106.00 for the set.
