I got my Coupe running. The "new" engine sounds a whole lot nicer than the
dead one with the terminal knock.
Here's a new issue: After several minutes of troublefree driving, and while
at a stop, it was suddenly near-impossible to get the car in gear. I found
that the only way I could get started was to turn the engine off, put it in
first, then start the car while keeping the clutch in. When I started it in
this way, the engine started with a few chugs, then came to life. Shifting
up was no problem - most times.
Anyway, I checked the clutch cable at the clutch lever and it LOOKS correct.
Anything else I should be looking for? This is after all a car that just
had an engine transplant performed by a first-timer, so I may have
overlooked something.
Thanks,
Steve
