Post by johnnyb600zcoupe »

Hi everybody,
Bill Colford sent me an ivitation to join the group.
I have a 1971 Popo Green 600z coupe with 43,000 miles on it.
The car is in pretty good shape and runs pretty well. It likes to
foul spark plugs rather quickly, but doesn't burn oil.
I have a problem with the idle. Sometimes it runs too high and
sometimes it barley runs. In need of a rebulid maybe? Also, there is
some oil leaks and can I still get some of the gaskets around the
engine?
I understand that these vehicles have a problem with the timing chain
cutting into the block. I was told there is an adjustment....but I
haven't pulled the valve cover off yet. Is this a fairly simpile job?
Thanks

Hi Group,
I just bought a couple of Honda 600 cars. One is a sedan. The other
has been custom fabricated into a Willys Jeep type body. I will post
pics next week.
My plan is to convert one, or possibly both, into Neighborhood
Electric Vehicles (NEV). Most likely a long term project. I saw one
website already, by someone who converted a 600 to electric.
I'll probably be seeking some parts, and possibly unloading some
parts, in the future. At some point, for example, I need to locate a
windshield for the sedan.
Just wanted to say hi to everyone.
