Yea know.  I would look the front end over and make sure there are no bent or damaged areas.  Then use a tape measure and make a horozantal chalk mark on each tire two inches off the ground.  Loosen the tye rod nuts and measure the distance at the marks on the middle tire tred, now roll the car back and measure the same chalk marks from the rear of the tire from the same tread.  Move the tye rod arms equally on each side until the measure is the same by measuring the chalk marks front and back.  Toe in is so slight that dead on is almost there.  Besides, I paid $25.00 bucks to watch an alignment shop do the same thing.  Yea, it was a long time ago, and my tires are still running strong.

It seems like my car has more problems than just simple alignment. I've tried the trick with two tape measures, etc, and it was so far off when measuring that doing it by eye was more accurate. One of my front tires sticks out from the side of the car farther than the other. So, something must be up!
