Generator Removal

Post by jp.voll »

Hello again everyone,
Thanks a lot for the help before with diagnosing my 600!
I believe that it is the differential that is the problem. So I am in the
process of disassembling the engine.
I have all of the covers off already but I ran into a snag when I got to the
generator. In the service manual it says to use the special alternator removal
tool and thread it all the way on, then tap it with a hammer.
I obviously do not have that tool, and I figured there was another way to get it
off.
I greatly appreciate your responses!
Thank you!
