Engine question

This is a newbie question, is the Z600 engine two stroke or four storke? (1972 model), shop is asking that I confirm.

Victor,
If the shop can't tell by looking, then I'd go to a different shop!

They are a 4-stroke engine. I probably would consider another shop if they have no Idea what it has. Sounds like they probably never have worked on one or seen one before.

I agreed. I called all the Honda dealerships in the area and found an "ole timers" who used to work on the 600's and still had the original service manual. It also helped out that he didn't charge me half the labor "just to keep such a cool car on the road." Sent from my iPhone

It is a four stroke cycle engine.

If the shop doesn't even know if it is a 4 stroke engine,
They should. I would go to a different shop.
