front brake hose replacement

Post by robert martinez »

So during the restoration process I found out that my brake lines were clogged ... so I went around looking for a place to make me some.. no luck .. they either didn't have the banjos or they didn't have enough.. + they wanted to charge me $50 per hose .. after trail and error and research I found out that the upper brake hose of a 89-90 Suzuki katana 750 are pretty much the same the only difference being that they are about 2" longer .... I think that is a small price to pay given that they set me back $13 a piece .. its up to u to use the info I'm giving you .. you can ignore this if you are not the type to use parts not intended for our hondas

Hi Robert;
Good info, everything helps.  But as for the cam chain, use the heavy duty type.  Like you said and we all have discovered that a racing application will be strong enough.

If any one is wants to know more about that brake hose go to
http://www.cheapcycleparts.com/model_ye ... brake-hose
It is ref# 4 part # is there
To be honest , I bought mine used and I have not installed it yet because I can't seem to remember where I left my calipers... but the banjo bolt fits perfectly..  I'll link a picture upon request of the hoses Side by side
