New N600 Owner(hopefully)

My name is Rebekah and I have been searching for a long time to find a n600 on the east coast near me that isn't a complete rust bucket. Lucky for me I've found two! One is a little over priced but the other seems to be in ok shape. I was wondering what were some things I should look out for before I go buy it? It needs a passenger side window and looks like it might need a door as well. Basically, I want to be able to go look at this car and make a well informed decision. Any help is greatly appreciated.

It doesn't run but the engine appears to be all there. All it is missing is the air filter, he said. Tires look decent but it has been sitting since 93 he said, so it's been sitting as long as I am old if that tells you anything. Lol.

if it hasn't ran since 93' be prepared for a full system overhaul,  brakes, fuel lines/tank. its gonna need some work. I'm not saying stay away.  just know that its gonna be a project and not a simple turn key operation.

I don't expect it to be a turn key car. It's half the fun being able to fix something and get something that's just as cool if not cooler then a new car back on the road. I have plenty of time this summer to work on it.� As far as parts go, are they fairly easy to find?

You shouldn't have many issues finding parts.  Between all the members here, ebay and some of the parts websites you should be able to get everything you need.
they're fun cars and pretty basic to work on.

Becky.  welcome!  I think the motor will be the hardest part.  Crankshaft, if it is bad there is not much you can do.  Pistons and rings you can get and I think you can do some work on the cam.  Brake master cyl. is fixable,  gas tank is fixable or can find one. cleaning brake lines is not a problem.  its that darn motor that is tough and should be talked about to the person you are buying from.

WOW.  I thought the Beach Boys said west coast girls are fun, I'm  thinking east coast girls are more fun. I can't get my wife to buy in on my "issue" as she puts it. I can't even get her to go for a ride in my 600's.
All it takes is money and a little time and they will run. Enjoy your adventure.

Hi Rebekah,
Welcome to the group and congratualtions on your N600 find. The major concerns with the engine are the camchain, which should be tended to as a preventative measure as these tend to fail on cars that have sat for a long time. It is not a huge job but should be done before damage occurs. Where are you in the East. I am in Newton (near Boston) Massachusetts, and I would be happy to show you our Honda Z cars and let you drive one to get a feel for the car. If it is close enough, i would be happy to check out your prospective purchase for you as well. Also, I can give you some ideas of value so that you don't overpay for this car, especially if it has not run since 1993.
I think that it is wonderful that you are interested in these cars, and you will have a blast with this car.

I'm� located more in the southeast. I live in TN. This car is pretty much my birthday present to myself. I adore little cars and the older they are the cooler they are to me.�� Needless to say if things don't work out with this car I'm going to be pretty bummed. Lol.
