Are you still booster-less? How is the pedal feel with the new calipers (and no booster) ?
Where did you find the 175-50-13's? are there more available?

Hey Mark, The tires are the ones you recommended:

these were the only ones he had, but there is a shop in oakland (through ebay) that had been selling them
and these currently are up for a great price:

i am still booster-less, things feel much better than before, but i think with a booster, the performance would be at it's best.  At some point, I may take a look at going back to using the booster. but for now, I'm pleased with the result.

HI Marty ,
Your brake upgrade gives me a great sense of kindered soul. I'm so happy to turn you on to those 175-50-13 tires. I looked for a year before I could find a new set made by Dunlop.
 I have a few more questions. Typically the z600 and z600 utilize the booster on the stock front discs only, the rears are not assisted. If you remove the booster the pedal is hard to push, bias shifts to rear, and  rears then lock up easy. especially on wet.
Did you do anything to compensate for this?
What are your plans to paint the wheels?
I cut the axles on my white n600 bike engine project and sleeved them to add length just like you did to match ends
