Wiper blade arms

Post by dwb_07 »

I just got (2) clean wiper blade arms form a 1970 N600 at Pick a Part. They do not quite match the (1) arm I have on my 1971 Sedan. The (2) I got match each other and are about 1 1/2" longer then the one on the car. It appears on exploded views in parts lists that left and right are the same part. All are marked "Mitsuba"
Any thoughts. Maybe these are from a Z
Thanks for any help/direction

I just checked my Honda Z360-600 coupe manual. In the diagram of the front of the 600 coupe it looks like the passenger side wiper is longer than the driver's side. This makes sense because the passenger wiper had to travel farther than the driver's side. Maybe you have two passenger wipers.

If you look at the Z600 coupe part booklet (pages 5-26 & 5-27) will you notice only one part number is used for the wiper blades on both sides.
The USA coupe did not have two different lengths of blades or arms.  The stock blade was 10 inches long.  When these became hard to obtain,  I ended up using an 11 inch blade from a VW.  It worked fine,  did not strike the weatherstriping,  and it wiped across more area of the windshield.
good luck,
Dale

So, there's a 600 at a wrecking yard near you? If so, was there a steering wheel?
