Checking/Setting timing on my 1972 Honda N600

Post by forumadmin »

Hi,.
I'm looking for any tips on checking/setting timing (tools needed and so forth) on my '72 Honda N600. Runs good but want to make sure everything (like points, timing, and valve clearance) are good for the Summer.
Thanks

go to http://www.honda600coupe.com/ , look in documents and download manuals.  All you need is the owners manual.
All tune up info is there.

Hi Bill,
It looks pretty basic.  Just checking to see if the 12W bulb, testing light or timing light is the preferred way of checking timing (and I also remember a while back that you told me to add a washer when re-installing the cam cover bolts after I adjust the valves).
Thanks again

I use the 12V bulb all the time.
