Follow Bill's advice on the fan belt installation and here is one more
tip.....since the
fan belt is not driving any accessories (alternator, fuel pump, air
conditioner), don't tighten the belt the same as you would a Chevy or a Ford. It can
be pretty loose since it is just driving a small plastic fan. The manual
recommends a 3/4 inch gap when you press the 2 belt pieces between the fingers.
You just need it tight enough so it doesn't squeal. Too tight and you wear
out the fan bearings quicker.
