Brake line and fitting sizes?
Newbie with a '71 AN600. My brake hard lines are pretty rough and many fitting nuts are rounded. Is it standard 3/16 line and 10mmx1.0 fittings? Any thoughts on line material? I see zinc steel and copper nickel options.
For example:

Anything else I need to know... will a standard flaring tool work?
Thanks for your guidance!

Re: Brake line and fitting sizes?
A little more research. Looks like the fittings could be 10mm x 1.25. Yes/no?
Re: Brake line and fitting sizes?
They are not a normal fitting, they have more thread on them, sourcing them are a pain in the butt. I found some online, just not sure if they will work.

Re: Brake line and fitting sizes?
Thanks Chuck. I went ahead and ordered those.
Looking at my lines, it appears to be a single flare. Is that correct or should it be a double?

Re: Brake line and fitting sizes?
Thanks. Watching some youtube videos on applying a double flare and one indicates that there are both standard and metric flare tools. Do you know which tool I should use? Sorry for all the novice questions. Really appreciate the advice.

I'm pretty sure it's metric, although you may want to wait until one of the geniuses like Miles or Bill's answer.
Here's an excellent video on how to get really good double flares.
